Pakistan A endured a late scare in their second innings as they pursued a modest 160 at the Harare Country Club, but eventually inched home by three wickets thanks to a composed 22 not out from their No. 9, Mohammad Asif, who had earlier picked up four wickets in Zimbabwe A's second innings.
Needing 160 for victory, the Pakistanis made a healthy start, reaching 106 for 1 thanks to Ashar Zaidi's 43, and 46 from Faisal Athar. But then the rot set in, as Graeme Cremer grabbed both men plus the captain, Misbah-ul-Haq, with his legbreaks, and Tawanda Mupariwa ripped towards the tail with three wickets of his own.
Pakistan endured an uneasy night as they closed on 134 for 7, with Asif yet to get off the mark, but on the resumption of play, the victory was wrapped up in just nine overs of the fourth morning.
