The championship match between Warwickshire (252 & 165-2) and Sussex (158)
was abandoned as a draw because of rain. Michael Powell (70 n.o.) and Dominic
Ostler (66 n.o.), the overnight batsmen, thus were denied an opportunity to
build on their unbeaten 131 runs partnership.
