Vusi Sibanda has been offered a contract with an Australian club according to a media release from Zimbabwe Cricket.
Sibanda said: "Playing in the more competitive environment of Australia will enable me to grow mentally and improve as a cricketer much faster than I would if I continued to play club cricket locally."
Kevin Curran, Zimbabwe's coach, said it was a welcome move because during the period of his contract, Sibanda will continue to be available for selection for Zimbabwe. "It is not just good for Vusi as a cricketer but also for ZC. In the past, stints in Australia benefited Douglas Hondo and Stuart Matsikenyeri as players and that impacted positively on their local provincial and national teams."
