Pakistan v West Indies, 2016-17

Wisden's review of the second Twenty20 International, Pakistan v West Indies, 2016-17

15-Apr-2017
At Dubai, September 24, 2016 (floodlit). Pakistan won by 16 runs. Toss: West Indies.
It was difficult to square the performances of this West Indies with the one at the World Twenty20 final - when it felt as if no force on earth, let alone Ben Stokes's attempted yorkers, could stop them. This may as well have been a different team. Without being truly explosive, Khalid Latif, Shoaib Malik and Sarfraz Ahmed had played strong hands to ensure a par score. But in reply West Indies were never in contention. Imad Wasim, again, and Sohail Tanvir stymied their start - there were three wickets and 21 dot balls in the first six overs - and before long West Indies slumped to 89 for seven. Narine made an entertaining 17-ball 30 to make it appear close, but it wasn't.
Man of the Match: Sarfraz Ahmed.
