WP hit back against Griquas

WP hit back today with an impressive 7 wicket win over Griquas in Kimberley today.

Batting first Griquas scored a modest 109 in 36 overs. Showing an improved bowling performance Antonio Mullins, Brian McMillan, Renier Munnik and Claude Henderson bowled outstandingly in total contrast to the day before in fine conditions.

Chasing a moderate total Hershcelle Gibbs displayed the form that earned him national honours scoring 44 in 86 minutes off 60 balls with 8 fours. He was well supported by captain HD Ackerman who made 41 not out in 76 minutes off 56 balls with 5 fours. WP reached the target after 28 overs.

WP travel to Johannesburg on Sunday where they take on Guateng in Inanda starting on Monday.
