Youth World Cup squad embarrassed

Karachi, Jan 5: The Pakistan Under-19 squad for the Youth World Cup had to face embarrassment on Tuesday when it arrived at the airport 24 hours before scheduled departure.

According to informed sources, the Pakistan team was booked on Air Lanka flight which leaves for Colombo on late Wednesday evening. But the squad arrived at the airport in Pakistan colour on Tuesday evening.

"The tickets and all travelling documents were provided to the manager well in advance," a spokesman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said.

The players, who had checked out from a five-star hotel, were lodged again in the same hotel well after midnight.
