33.5 to KJ Garth, sharp work by Nawaz, and has Garth has a bit of a brain-fade moment?! Full and darted well down leg again. Garth misses the flick and then over-balances, which brings Nawaz into play. She whips off the bails in a trice, and it looks like Garth might be struggling here. Nothing behind the line, says the third umpire and Pakistan, out of nowhere, have their eighth!. 115/8
10 | 1 | 49 | 2 | 4.90 | 36 | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 | |
7.3 to P Litchfield, and another! Litchfield goes after a full delivery, plays a head-down lofted drive aiming down the ground, perhaps coming a little across it, the ball goes straight up in the air and Fatima gets under it herself. 30/2 49.6 to BL Mooney, and an epic ends! Backs away to a short ball, tries to clear the off side but finds cover. One of the rare times Mooney didn't get the timing and placement. 221/9
10 | 2 | 32 | 1 | 3.20 | 40 | 3 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
6.6 to AJ Healy, taken at midwicket! Sadia strikes. Huge wicket. Full on the pads, Healy flicking into the leg side, doesn't keep it down or get enough height. Relatively simple catch. Healy storms off, frustrated. 30/1
10 | 1 | 29 | 2 | 2.90 | 34 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
15.2 to A Gardner, goodness me! Chipped straight to midwicket. Mad scenes in Colombo. A very soft dismissal for Gardner. Full and straight, clipped in the air offers the simplest of catches. 60/5 21.2 to G Wareham, popped straight back to the bowler, and this is unbelievable! Pakistan are all over Australia like a rash! Fizzed through on a length on middle and off. Drops on Wareham and then bounces a touch extra. Wareham tries to knock it down to long on but the extra bounce means she splices it. The ball floats to Shamim's right and she tumbles to take it with both hands, despite the potentially disturbing presence of the non-striker. Australia on the ropes, and well and truly on the ropes!. 76/7

12.5 to EA Perry, is Perry gone?! Lovely bowling, drawn out of her crease and is beaten past the outside edge. More quick work with the gloves and, yes, Perry hasn't got her bat back. 55/3 14.3 to A Sutherland, through her! Superb bowling. This one slides on from round the wicket, beats the inside edge as Sutherland plays forward, goes between bat and pad into middle stump. 59/4 20.3 to TM McGrath, in the air, and gobbled up at extra cover! Sandhu having a ball in Colombo, and Australia, the mighty Australia, are crumbling! This is beautifully bowled. Like Sandhu has this ball on a string. Just 62kph and the ball drops on McGrath on a fullish length on middle and off. She wants to drive down the ground but because she is not to the pitch of the ball, she slices it tamely. Baig lunges forward, snares the chance and Australia in real, real trouble now!. 75/6 |

2.4 to Sadaf Shamas, massive caught-behind appeal, but the umpire says no! Healy goes up straightaway! There seemed to be a noise there. This was a fullish ball outside off, nipping back in just a smidgen off the surface. Shamas went wafting at it and seemed to get a nick, although the umpire thought otherwise. The UltraEdge is taking awfully long to build, and both sets of players are having a tantalizing wait. Australia were right. There is a clear spike when the ball is next to the bat, and UltraEdge sends Shamas on her way. Garth breaks through early!. 8/1 6.3 to Sidra Nawaz, edged and another sharp low catch! Length ball in the channel and this seems to leave the batter late. Nawaz, with her feet stuck to concrete, goes following it a tad and gets a healthy outside edge. Healy snaps down low and dives in front to snaffle it up, and Pakistan's ploy of sending Nawaz up the order does not quite work out. Australia on the charge!. 29/3 8.4 to Eyman Fatima, oh dear - that is an awful slog, and Eyman Fatima walks back for a three-ball duck! Zipped in full on middle and leg. Eyman Fatima gets her front leg out of the way and tries to smash this into the Indian Ocean. Loses her shape, loses sight of the ball and loses her middle and leg stump soon after. Not a shot that will be played on loop in highlight reels and Pakistan have lost have their side inside nine overs!. 31/5
5 | 1 | 25 | 2 | 5.00 | 22 | 5 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
5.3 to Muneeba Ali, has that carried?! Sutherland is claiming it, but there is an air of anti-climax around this! Hard length just outside off and this seems to get a little big on Muneeba. She charges and hacks at it and arrows it flat to Sutherland at mid off. She lunges forward and claims she has picked it up inches off the turf. And she might have a case too. The third umpire called into action. The question the third umpire has to answer is whether her fingers were underneath the ball. And that is exactly how it is. Fingers under the ball, and Muneeba has to go!. 24/2 7.4 to Natalia Pervaiz, another smart low catch, and Schutt has two too! Back of a length outside off and this seems to deck away just a smidgen. A bit of extra zip and bounce too, meaning that when Pervaiz dabs at it, she ends up offering catching practice to Mooney at slip. Another excellent grab, and the wickets continue to tumble in Colombo!. 30/4
6 | 0 | 19 | 1 | 3.16 | 26 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
33.6 to Nashra Sandhu, edged, taken! Another leg-break does the trick. Nashra goes for the drive, neat catch by Healy. 111/9
8.3 | 1 | 15 | 2 | 1.76 | 41 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
12.4 to Fatima Sana, chopped on, and Fatima is livid with herself! Banged in short outside off and this seems to climb onto Fatima. She wants to dab it behind point but has to hop around her crease to manufacture something. Not enough room to work with too and all she manages is a inside edge onto her stumps. Pakistan six down, and on the brink!. 49/6 36.3 to Rameen Shamim, If you come at the champions, you best not miss! Pakistan rattled the Australian cage and some, but Australia, in another brazen display of why they are the real deal, wrap it up with acres to spare in the end! And it is a peach to finish things off. Angled in on a length on middle and off. A hint of nip away after pitching and Shamim is squared up completely. The ball whistles past the outside edge and then knocks back middle stump. Australia are all smiles. They were pushed to the brink in the first innings but in the second innings, they have swatted aside Pakistan's challenge!. 114/10
7 | 1 | 17 | 1 | 2.42 | 32 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
21.2 to Sidra Amin, picks out mid-on! Looks to take this from outside off over the on side, but can't clear the in-field. The in-form batter goes. 78/7
4 | 0 | 15 | 1 | 3.75 | 15 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
22.4 to Diana Baig, big appeal for lbw, and given! Looking to sweep a full delivery, misses...but calls the review. And it's hitting the middle of middle. 86/8 |
