4.3 to Sediqullah Atal, Atal falls too, Zimbabwe have three inside the powerplay! Length ball just outside off. Atal wants to drive on the up but the ball holds in the surface just a touch. Atal plays too early and spoons it towards cover point, where Musekiwa dives forward and snares the chance!. 33/3

3.1 to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, soft dismissal, and Gwandu is into the act straightaway! Full just outside off and Gurbaz's eyes light up. He thinks he can go downtown but miscues it completely. Right off the bottom part of the bat and Burl completes the easiest of catches at mid off. Two matches, two failures for Gurbaz this series!. 25/1 19.3 to Darwish Rasooli, goes straight up, and Rasooli has to walk back! Angled in full on middle and leg. Rasooli looks to go leg side but the ball sticks in the surface just enough to cause the leading edge. Swirls in the air but Raza, running to his right from extra cover, keeps his eyes on it and makes no mistake. A top knock and that has given Afghanistan a very respectable score to defend!. 148/6

11.4 to Azmatullah Omarzai, catch it is the cry, and Bennett takes it! Floated up full just outside off and Omarzai cannot resist the temptation to have a pop at it. He is beaten in the air, though, and has to reach out in front, which makes him lose control of the stroke. The bat face closes upon impact and he lobs it towards long on. Bennett takes it inside the rope, realizes he is going over and does a nice juggling act to get the job done!. 86/4 13.6 to Mohammad Nabi, a superman grab by Wessly Madhevere, and the crowd finds its voice! A bit of a drag-down on middle and leg. Nabi lines it up for the mighty pull and gets a good chunk of it. He is hitting to the bigger side, however, and that brings Madhevere into play. He tracks it all the way and then flies to his left superhero-style to pluck it out of the air. Got both hands to it too, and that is a stunning grab to hand Zimbabwe a crucial breakthrough!. 96/5 |

2.4 to T Marumani, Naveen with the early breakthrough! Marumani walks down the track even before the ball is bowled and Naveen responds with a short ball outside off. Marumani looks to slash it over deep backward point but does not get the power he wants. Straight down Omarzai's throat on the fence, and Zimbabwe lose their first!. 19/1 14.1 to T Musekiwa, Naveen breaks the game open! Hard length, slanting in towards the stumps. Musekiwa was always going to swing at it but the extra zip off the surface causes him lots of problems. Skews up off the splice and Akbari completes the easiest of catches at extra cover!. 87/6 16.3 to Sikandar Raza, goes high up, and taken by Omarzai! That could well be the game! Slower delivery dug into the track outside off. Raza has no option but to go after it. The lack of pace, though, leads to his undoing. Cloths it completely and Omarzai, well inside the deep mid wicket fence, gobbles up the chance. Raza walks back dejected, and that is perhaps a captain who knows this game has slipped past him and his team!. 101/9

6.2 to W Madhevere, straight to Nabi! Floated up full outside off again and Myers looks to go aerial this time. Does not get the elevation he wants, though, and smashes it straight to Nabi, who gets his hands high in time and snaffles up a sharp chance. Afghanistan keep chipping away!. 40/3 8.4 to BJ Bennett, has that bowled Bennett?! Looks like it! Fizzed through again, on a back of a length. Bennett is unsure of where this is turning and gets trapped on the crease. The ball nips away just enough and Bennett ends up playing well inside the line. The ball breezes past the outside edge and then kisses the off bail as it goes through. Bennett is bewildered, but he has to trudge back!. 49/4
2 | 0 | 10 | 1 | 5.00 | 6 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
3.6 to D Myers, caught right on the fence! Omarzai strikes too! Hard length, slanting into middle and leg. Myers looks to pick it up and pull it away but the inward angle means he cannot free his arms fully. That proves pivotal, especially when hitting to the longer side and Atal pouches it just inches inside the rope at deep backward square leg!. 25/2
3.4 | 0 | 23 | 1 | 6.27 | 10 | 2 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
17.4 to B Muzarabani, that will be that! Afghanistan level the series and we are going into a decider! Slanted in full on middle adn off. Muzarabani swings for the hills and misses the ball by a massive margin. The ball keeps coming in with the angle and knocks back leg stump. A fitting image for what has been a dominant display and Afghanistan win by 50 runs!. 103/10
4 | 0 | 20 | 3 | 5.00 | 12 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
10.5 to RP Burl, huge appeal, and that looks pretty plumb! Darted in quicker and fuller on middle stump. Burl's get-out-of-jail stroke is the sweep and he tries to deploy that. Too full to be playing that stroke, however, and he gets pinned right in front. The umpire raises his finger and even though Burl does not quite agree with the decision, he has to go!. 57/5 15.3 to WP Masakadza, Rashid has another! Dangles the carrot on off and Masakadza bites. Looks for the massive slog sweep over cow corner but only picks out Naveen on the deep mid wicket fence. That was the short boundary, so the shot was on. The execution, however, was not up to scratch, and Raza continues to run out of partners!. 92/7 15.5 to R Ngarava, stumps go splat, and Rashid, just like that, has three! Back of a length on middle stump. Ngarava has a wild whoosh across the line without watching the ball and once that happens, there is only one result possible. Rashid sports a smile on his face, even as Raza, stood at the bowler's end, watches on in disbelief!. 95/8 |
