it's all over!!!!! short on middle and leg, makes room and pulls it away powerfully over the long on boundary. A fitting end to the game!!
Bengal vs ICL Hyd, 34th Match at Ahmedabad, Nov 08 2008 - Ball by Ball Commentary
ICL Hyd won by 9 wickets (with 29 balls remaining)
Hyderabad have won a one-sided affair. A score of 111 was never going to be difficult to chase, but the Bengal bowlers made Hyderabad's job much easier by feeding their batsmen with short deliveries outside leg stump early on, and never threatening to take any wickets. The only Hyderabad wicket that fell, that of Razzaq, was a gift, a result of poor shot- selection than good bowling. I had said earlier that it was Hyderabad's game to lose, and they ensured that didn't happen. IS Reddy is the man of the match for his figures of 3 for 22.
That's all we have from here. It's Siddhartha Talya signing off from the commentary, and Karthikeyan from the scoring desk. Goodnight!!
that was a bouncer!! a misdirected one though, slipped out of his hand hard into the wicket, short of a length, well outside the off, left alone
tossed up on leg stump, driven down the ground to long on
full on middle and leg, driven straight to mid wicket
pitches on middle and leg, played to mid wicket
tossed up outside the off, spinning in just a touch, comes down the track, takes it on the half volley, and deposits out over the long on boundary for a six. That's fifty for Khaleel!! well played!!
full on middle and leg, comes down the track and drives it on the up to long on
short of a good length outside off, comes down the track and works it wide of square leg for a single
pitches on a good length outside leg stump, pads it away and takes a single, the umpire declares it a dead ball
full on off and middle, driven back to the bowler
finds the gap this time, bowled full and flat outside the off, smashed wide of extra cover for a boundary
tossed up outside the off, comes down the track and drives it straight to short extra cover
full on the off, driven back to the bowler
short on middle and leg, tries to pull it over the mid wicket boundary, mistimes it, falls in no man's land
tossed up on middle and leg, comes down the track and drives it back to the bowler
short of a length on off and middle, played to deep mid wicket
pitches full on middle and leg, thinks of a paddle sweep, the length is not quite perfect for that short, flicked away to square leg
tossed up outside the off, dropped on the off side for a quick single
bowled flat and full on leg stump, flicked to square leg
pitched on a good length on middle and leg, chipped uppishly towards long on
