Callum has a chat with Shaun Marsh as they walk off. Mitchell joins them.
We shall get you the quotes from the post-match ceremony very soon.
Gilchrist: "150 would have been a decent battle as it was getting slower and lower. We didn't build enough partnerships. I don't think we were unsure of how hard we go; we just took the wrong options. Myself ... took it a wrong option when Valthaty was going so well. Rahul Sharma bowled very well; all the bowlers did well. Both sides batted with lack of confidence. to take 18 overs ... We have to start winning. Last year I was in a team to win four in a row but we have to win one first."
Yuvraj Singh: "We were looking for that win. Fortunatlely or unfortunately it came at my home place. When I look at my team I can't imagine how we lost so many games with that talent. We just haven't clicked. We had energy on the field and didn't allow their batsmen to get away. 120 was a great bowling effort. The pitch was dry underneath and it was nice to get them to 120."
Where are you going from here? "Hyderabad!" Ravi Shaz clarifies and Yuvraj says, " we have to take confidence from this"
Man of the match is Rahul Sharma: "It feels very nice to get two successive man of the match award. Yuvraj has been supporting me a great deal. It feels good to do well for the match. I am just concentrating on basics and bowl wicket to wicket. For Adam Gilchrist the plan was to try to bowl few full deliveries and try a googly. It worked!"
Good bye and good luck
the bouncer arrives and the batsman gets away from that line
turns this through the on side for a single
moves outside leg and drives to left of mid-off
And again. Quietly tapped to the on side
short in length, defended to the on side of the pitch.
With three to win, the official IPL question was " can this game turn around" and 14% believe it can. Pune don't inspire too much confidence for many
presses back to tap this to midwicket region for a single
Time out. Just three runs more. Oh well.
leans forward to defend a length delivery
length delivery from round the stumps, Abhishek has a lame poke at it - he was trying to steer it to third man - and gets a thick edge to Gilly.,
lifting delivery from round the stumps, left alone and it has been no balled as it was the second bouncer of the over
on a length around off, defended to the off side
A fan(?) rushes out to the ground and Yuvraj hugs him and walks all the way back along with him. That young man is talking and Yuvraj is nodding.
moves outside leg, Shalabh goes for another bouncer and Yuvraj gets a soft top edge and the bowler moves forward to take a dolly
backs away and the bowler slips in a very high bouncer, Yuvraj can't reach it
short in length outside off, forced away to sweeper cover
length delivery angling across Ferguson who stabs it off the inner edge to left of Gilly, who makes a diving stop
Ha! That ball slipped out of the hands! And it bounced twice. Yuvraj waited and blasted it like he was hitting a stationary golf ball. The ball flew to wide midwicket boundary
More gently flighted stuff in the slot and Yuvraj gets down on his knee to hammer it high over midwicket boundary. That bat swing is something to watch.
Imperious! This time it was outside off and he crashed it over covers.
Fabulicious wallop! it was flighted full on middle and leg, in the slot, and Yuvi slam-dunks it high over midwicket boundary. Loverly swing of the bat
rotates the strike by sending the ball down to long-on
