and hoicked to deep midwicket again. Sunrisers win just their second match, and that is Williamson's fifty too! That was bowled in the slot on off, and he whacked that across the line to go over the man inside the circle and bisect long-on and deep square

Jason Roy, Player of the Match: "Makes me extremely happy. Really grateful for the opportunity from Sunrisers. Have been training, and waiting hard. Grateful for this award too - we had some great performances today. Happy to get over the line. I had to kind of access different areas. Wasn't as free-flowing the way I hope. It was a case of getting the team close to the total. Saha was instrumental in that partnership. Allowed me to relax early on. We've got to keep our feet very grounded. We've had a tough tournament, but to come out today to chase a decent total was hugely impressive. We need to do the basics all over again."
Williamson, winning captain: "Good feeling. We can say the performance was improved. There was clarity in roles too. Good to be on the right side. Want to build on this, want to see the younger players take their opportunity and enjoy the cricket. Last two overs with the ball were critical. Sanju batted outstanding and they were looking to score more but we managed to close them into a par-ish total. And then the partnership with the bat up top. We weathered the storms against the slower bowlers. Roy is an injection of energy. He's been on the sidelines but was always ready to go. He did what he does, great to see. Fantastic player, great contribution. We want to recover before the next game. Couple of days away, new venue, need to take on CSK, top of the table, tough to beat. But as we know every team in this tournament is good. Hopefully we can play with a smile on our faces."
Suren: "17 vs 7 extras that is the difference.10 runs and 10 balls." --- Spot on!
Avishek Manna : "IPL. 4 teams having 8 points off 10 matches. Let the matter start.
The young Abhishek Sharma: "I think it was a big opportunity for me because I was waiting for my chance. It is our first win in Dubai, so feeling really good. Throughout the match, I was just planning for this match. Kane was just telling me a lot of things - he is a great captain - and he was boosting my confidence. I said one, but later said no [during the mix-up]! How can I say in Hindi to Williamson?"
Here's the Royals captain Samson: "It was a decent score. The wicket was sticky, and they were bowling well. We could have got 10 or 20 more actually. The last overs was the difference - you can say that. I wanted to keep going, but we kept losing one or two wickets. We got the target which we were aiming for after the time-out. We definitely need to work a lot on our batting and bowling... We need to be at our best each and every ball. We need to lift our standards."
Riyaz: "Roy for MoM, for the new energy he got into the team, SRH looked comfortable at top with Roy"
Jigar: "Its funny how many times the bottom placed teams have played spoilsport in the IPL."
9.26pm So two points for Sunrisers, but they still remain eighth. Captain's knock from Williamson in a calm finish, as his side win with seven wickets and nine balls to spare. Roy - in his first match - hammered a quick 60 too, and that set the tone. But Royals still pretty much in contention for the playoffs race, mind you. There is a clutter in the middle of the table, and it has further got complicated.
low full-toss on off, and whipped to deep midwicket! The fielder at midwicket goes low to his left to try and stop that, but in vain. Absolute timing there, not much power
drills this drive to the man at cover. Mustafizur bowls a slower ball on a full length outside off, as Williamson can't beat the fielder

crunched to deep point. That was pretty full and just outside off, and Williamson leant into the drive
another short delivery, and is called wide. Pitches on leg, and Williamson, who is deep in his crease, lets that pass after bending down
whips that to long leg! A short delivery on leg, as he stays across a touch to this slower ball, and finds the gap between fine leg and deep square leg
Some adjustment with the sightscreen first
RohitBh: "Can someone be Tyagi today? :("
whips this full ball on off across the line to fine leg. Goes low to flick that slightly away from his body
full and very wide of off. He lets that go, and it is called wide
overthrow, and a run conceded! Short length ball on off, as he rides the bounce to push that to cover, from where Morris throws back at the striker's end, only to send that for an extra run
back of a length ball outside off, and he punches to point, where a fumble allows a single
makes a pleasing sound off the bat! Right in the slot on off, and he swings his arms to deposit that deep into the stands over long-on after clearing his front leg
A mix-up, and an appeal for run-out! But Williamson is dragging his bat back into the crease at the keeper's end as Samson clips the bails. It was a full-toss on off, which Abhishek clipped to deep midwicket. The initial call seemed to be for two, as the fielder was quick to intercept. Williamson also slipped a bit, before turning back and returning home safely
pretty full and straight on middle. Angles away a touch after pitching on leg, as Williamson presents the full face of the bat to push that to long-off
Mid-off back, and third man back in
another slower ball. This is on a driving length just outside off, but Williamson finds the man at cover with his drive
Celine: "As long as Williamson is batting, SRH cannot lose this now!"
wide delivery. Change of pace on a good length outside leg, as Williamson looks to clip that but misses
Stays over for Williamson
full-toss on middle, which is angling. Clipped to fine leg from deep in his crease
Williamson has a quick word with Abhishek
fuller and just outside off. He opens the bat face to run that to point, but that is another dot
pushes that at aerially, and that was close to the bowler! Another change of pace ball on a good length on off, and he simply jabs back at that. Lucky that landed safely
Sunrisers surely can't lose from here. Anyway, Fizz returns from over the wicket
Adam: "This would just be so Sunrisers-esque if they were to go on and lose this!"
Sheldon Smith: "It is about this stage of the innings that batsmen seem to forget how to play. We may have a tight finish yet" --- Never rule that out!
good length ball just outside off. He is standing across off, as he pushes that to deep midwicket for another quick two
very full and just outside leg. The ball flies after pitching, as Samson can't get a glove after trying to leap first, but then giving up. Replays show that flicked the pad
