But that's all for now. We hope you enjoyed our coverage and hope to see you again tomorrow when Islamabad taking on Peshawar at Lahore. I'm Ekanth, signing off on behalf of our scorer, Raghav. Take care.

That ends today's rollercoaster ride at the PSL. It was an adventure for Multan, who have all but secured their playoff spot, and a misadventure for Karachi, who remain winless. Rizwan was very candid in his interview and will look to come back stronger. Babar will have to get the team together to muster some magic to get a semblance of momentum going.

Mohammad Rizwan, Multan Captain and Player of the Match: Honestly, we did not play. Luck went our way but our bowling was poor. It should have been 160 but the credit goes to our finishers. Sometimes, we get lucky but the truth is we did not execute as openers. But Rilee and Khushdil bailed us out. The pitch was two-paced but the ball was going up even when it was slow. So it was difficult to adjust. Our batting order and quicks have been the same and settled. We will try to give our youngsters a chance and hope they come off as the playoffs arrive.

Babar Azam, Karachi Captain:: We played well in the last two games and lost this game due to bad overs and poor fielding as well. If the team does well, the form comes back but we have to give 100 percent and come back. Last 3-4 overs had execution errors that cost the game.

Karachi started okay. Despite not picking wickets, they kept a lid on the runs and squeezed tighter in the middle overs. The comeback with the wickets gave them a real possibility. Mohammad Nabi and Imad Wasim's frugality was turning the tides but things turned sour post the 15th over. From there, Umaid Asif had one bad over, Mir Hamza had one good over, but Chris Jordan had two bad overs and that was at least one too many. Karachi will have soul searching in the middle of a season where they find themselves in an abyss.

Some of the reactions from Karachi fans tell the story - Yahya: "Only karachi could lose from that position"

Faizan Ahmed: "Karachi is on the brink of losing all 10 matches. Will it be a notorious record in T20 league cricket?"

11:20 pm: Multan won this as much as Karachi lost this. It came down to the lost two overs where Khushdil took on Jordan and took the game away. But it came with Rizwan who, after having a solid but a slowing opening partnership with Shan Masood, upped the gears and got 26 off 11 after his half century, to keep Multan in the game. They were behind the chase and got back with brilliant hitting and some assistance from the bowlers who missed their mark every now and again.

Umaid Asif to Rossouw, SIX runs

Finished with a smack over mid wicket! It was a length ball outside off. He went across and smokes a backfoot heave over the fence to seize the win. Rossouw stands there with folded hands and celebrates with a rhetorical nonchalance

19.2
2
Umaid Asif to Rossouw, 2 runs

Slow into the pitch, pulls it off the edge. It floats up and falls in the empty mid on area and they get another two. One hit away. Can Karachi pull this back?

Saqib: "9 require and Hopefully Iron man going to bowl. Any predictions? " It's come to 7 off 5. Think Multan have this in the bag.

Karachi were on top at the beginning of the over but almost everything went wrong for Jordan in that over. He came back in the last three balls but it barely keeps them in the game.

Jordan to Khushdil, SIX runs

Full outside off, carved over extra cover and that might be the deciding blow. Jordan mixes it up but not effectively on all three occasions.

Affan: "So happy for Hamza. He has been really smart about his approach. Mixed it up beautifully" It was a good over that ended poorly. But it was only 8 off the over and 29 off 12 is still good for the bowling side.

Hassaan Hyder: "Why are no Yorkers being bowled at the death? Karachi is gifting the game away to Multan with freebies and length balls." The ball is slippery and the slower ones are sticking into the pitch. But the yorker is always a good option to go back to.

Good length outside off, lofts a check drive inside out over cover and finds the fence

16.5

Jordan to David, FOUR runs

Bouncer on the chest, Tim swivels his bat for the pull and it goes fine. It was quick and the ball gathered pace on its way to the boundary. The bluff does not work

16.4
W
Jordan to Rizwan, OUT

Gone!, Taken at deep cover point. It was full, wide and with pace. He slashed at it and it came off the bottom to meet the diving fielder who took it well. Rizwan runs out of luck but can his flurry in the last two overs help or was it too late?
