Rawalpindi, Nov 4: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is expected to
appoint an anti-corruption unit for the continent which will
investigate the charges of foul-play.
According to reliable sources, the discussion was though not in the
four-point agenda for Nov 22 and 23 meeting at Sharjah, the top ACC
officials were preparing a blue-print to deliberate on the subject and
if accepted, get it enforced.
The investigator, according to sources, will be a former sleuth from
any top government organization but is unlikely to be from the four
Test playing nations. Besides the investigator, the ACC will also hire
a former member of the judiciary to give legal cover to its probe and
advice on further action.
