West Indies fast bowler Curtly Ambrose captured his 400th Test wicket
yesterday, and announced he is sticking to his plan to retire at the
end of the current series against England.
'Yes, it still stands,' he said on the British Broadcasting
Corporation Test Match Special programme yesterday.
Ambrose became the fifth bowler in Test history to achieve 400 wickets
on the opening day of the fourth Test against England at Headingley,
when he removed Michael Atherton for six, caught at first slip by
Brian Lara.
