THE WAY the BCL have been performing of late, it wouldnt be too
far-fetched to suggest that their Courts/Suzuki Division 1 match could
be over in time for the Crop-Over youth fair.
The fiesta is slated to start at 4 p.m. at Queens Park where the first
division match against Big B Spartan is being played.
On the first day last Saturday, BCL were dismissed for 45 and Spartan
had consolidated to close on 140 for three. An early declaration and a
push for victory by the home side is on the cards.
At Trents, leaders Police were kept in the field all day by hosts
Mount Gay Maple who battled hard for 113 runs.
After a first round defeat, Maple have been improving and can be
expected to fight to defend their score, which was the third highest
first innings effort last week.
BET and ICB Empire, who were joint second with Spartan at the start of
this series, are locked in a tight contest at Wildey.
The hosts declared at 116 for seven wickets and Empire were struggling
on 24 for four with West Indies batsman Roland Holder not-out on one.
