Holders Gloucestershire will begin their bid for a third successive C&G Trophy title with a trip to face Berkshire in the first round of the 2005 competition.
The eight minor counties, along with Denmark, Ireland, Scotland and Holland were guaranteed home ties. Denmark will host a first-class county for the first time, with Northamptonshire visiting Copenhagen, and Warwickshire also have to travel overseas to Holland. Ireland, who beat Surrey in Dublin this year, entertain Yorkshire, while Devon the other giant-killers in 2003 when they edged out Leicestershire, play Essex.
There are two all first-class matches. Durham are at home to Derbyshire and Somerset visit Leicestershire.
The draw was made at Bristol this morning. The matches take place on May 3 and 4, 2005.
