A confident Jamaica team left the island yesterday for the Nortel West
Indies Youth cricket tournament which gets under way in Trinidad and
Tobago tomorrow.
Jamaica, playing in Group B, open their bid for the title tomorrow
against defending champions Guyana. The other teams in the group are
the Leeward Islands and a Nortel development team which has replaced

According to team manager Linden Wright, Jamaica boast a well balanced

"I cannot predict who will win, but I am sure we will do well," said
the former Jamaica representative.
The squad: Ricardo Powell - captain, Christopher Gayle, Marlon
Samuels, Matthew Sinclair, Kevin peart, Wade Allen, Tamar Lambert,
Sean Cousley, Jermaine Lawson, Barrington Bartley, Rayon Smith, Keith
