Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) beat the Anil Kumble-led Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) by 56 runs to win the KSCA All-India Invitation MRF Trophy tournament at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Needing 228 in the fourth innings, KSCA folded up for 171 despite being comfortably placed on 130 for 2 at one stage.
Stuart Binny, son of former Indian player Roger, stroked a delightful 44, and Robin Uthappa made 57, his second half-century of the match. But apart from those two contributions, none of the KSCA batsmen topped 30. For CAB, Sourashish Lahiri, the offspinner, took 4 for 38, while Utpal Chatterjee's left-arm spin fetched him three wickets.
