Nottinghamshire have added another new face to their squad with the signing of Mark Ealham from Kent on a three-year contract.
Ealham, 34, played for Kent for 14 years, scoring over 8000 first-class runs and taking almost 450 wickets. He also played eight Tests and 64 one-day internationals between 1996 and 2001.
"Notts are a big club that should be in Division One and I want to finish my career by helping them to achieve success." Ealham said. "Kent offered me a new one-year deal but I feel I have three or four years of cricket left and Notts offered me a new challenge."
Mick Newell, director of cricket at Notts said: "Mark is a very experienced cricketer and a high-quality international who is desperate to finish his career with success. He will be a valuable addition in the dressing room.
"We are trying to rebuild our team and we targeted the allrounder area as one that needed attention," he added. "We would have liked to sign both Dominic Cork and Mark Ealham, but we are very happy to just get Mark."
Ealham joins Anurag Singh and David Alleyne as the new players signed since the end of last season.
