Ehsan Mani, the president of the International Cricket Council, and Malcolm Speed, the chief executive, will meet with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in Delhi on July 18. This meeting is part of the ICC's commitment to discuss international cricket issues with the boards of all member countries.
This will be the final leg of the "ICC Roadshow" that undertook meetings with the boards of all of the 10 full member countries - apart from Kenya - over the last 12 months. The meeting will deal with key issues in international cricket, as well as addressing bi-lateral concerns.
Mani said that this endeavour provided an ideal forum for the ICC and its members to discuss issues of common concern. He said: "Malcolm and I have found these visits to be an excellent way of building a better understanding of the issues that are confronting our members as they run the game within their own countries."
The topics on the agenda for this meeting include: A presentation on the structure, operations and governance of the ICC, ICC events and issues relevant to India, the ICC code of conduct and its application, and bi-lateral issues between the ICC and the BCCI.
The meeting will take place at the Taj Palace in New Delhi and will be followed by a media conference. Further details of this and other media opportunities will follow in due course.
Mani and Speed are also set to attend events relating to the ICC Awards in New Delhi and the ICC Champions Trophy 2004 in Mumbai.
