The trial of Sharad Ghai, the former chairman of the Kenyan Cricket Association, is due to finally get underway in Nairobi on January 25.

Ghai, who was ousted in May, is accused of stealing $3.3 million from the KCA during the LG one-day series played in Kenya in 1999. He denies the charges.

In our article of November 16 we implied that the trial had been delayed by the illness of Ghai. We wish to point out that the delay was caused by the unavailability of the prosecutor.
