Harbhajan Singh has recovered from a finger injury and will be fit for India's two-Test series against New Zealand, starting in October.
Harbhajan injured his finger during India's tour of New Zealand at the start of the year, and had to pull out of his proposed contract with Lancashire this English summer. However, after undergoing physiotherapy on his finger, he is set to play in the first Test at Ahmedabad on October 8.
John Wright, India's coach, said: "Harbhajan is no longer injured. I think you'll find he will play in the domestic Irani Cup match and the New Zealand series." He added, "we felt the best way for Harbhajan to be introduced to the season was by playing in the longer version of the game instead of going into the one-dayers."
There are still doubts over the fitness of Virender Sehwag (back) and Ashish Nehra (ankle) ahead of the Test series.
