Gloucestershire CCC Press Release
06-Apr-2000
As final preperation for the 2000 cricket season Gloucestershire County Cricketers will be in action at the County Ground, Bristol, but not as you would expect. As part of the Gloucestershire County Cricket Club family fun open day on Sunday 9th April children are invited to come and join in with the players practice.
The family fun day will run from 10am-1pm and the playing squad will be rotating between batting, bowling, and fielding activities, allowing children to practice all elements of their game with their heroes.
As well as the opportunity to play with the Double Champions there is a feast of entertainment for everyone to enjoy. There is a spectacular falconry display, hot air balloon rides, children's entertainment, organised tours behind the scenes of the County Ground and a display of exotic animals from Bristol Zoo.
Anybody wanting to become a new Member of Gloucestershire CCC for the 2000 season will also be able to take advantage of special offers to join at the family fun day.
