Perth, Australia-Finally, some fight returned to West Indies' batting on Day 1
of the second Test.
It took a resolute unbeaten 96 from wicketkeeper Ridley Jacobs to show the top
order how to come to grips with the Australian pace attack led by Glenn
McGrath.
Although Jacobs' hopes of a maiden Test century were cut short when last man
Courtney Walsh was dismissed, he showed his mettle by guiding the Windies from
22 for five to 196 all out.
Here, Jacobs hits a ball from leg-spinner Stuart MacGill over the top during his
career-best knock.
