Riding on a solid century from H Jadhav, Baroda piled up 481 in 157.5
overs against Saurashtra in their West Zone Ranji Trophy match played
at GSFC ground, Baroda.
In reply, the visitors ended the second day on 64 for three in 22
overs.
Saurashtra skipper Shitanshu Kotak won the toss and elected to bowl.
Baroda scored a respectable 275 for four in 90 overs, on the first
day. Opener Connor Williams (51) and Tushar Arothe (78) scored half
centuries along with Jadhav, who was unbeaten on 79 at close of play.
Jadhav completed his century on the second day. His mammoth 165 had 18
boundaries from 405 deliveries. For Saurashtra, S Mehta (3/96) and H
Prasanna (3/77) shared the wickets.
Saurashtra had a bad outing in their response to the massive total.
Left arm seamer Irfan Pathan, who played for India in the Under-15
World Cup four months ago, ran through the top order bagging three
wickets for 28 runs.
