The second semi-final of the 1998 Carib Cement All-Age and Primary
schools cricket competition will be played at Melbourne Oval today.
In the Primary schools contest scheduled for 9:30 a.m., Corporate Area
champions Tarrant Primary of Kingston will oppose East Zone champions
Runaway Bay of St. Ann, while in the All-Age match it will be
Corporate Area champions Padmore of St. Andrew versus East Zone
champions Moore Town of Portland.
Durale Forrest will once again lead Padmore batting along with Romeo
Henry, Howard Hamilton, Delano Cunningham and Kishoy Flemmings, while
the bowling will be spearheaded by Forrest, Hamilton, Rodrick Swaby,
Henry, Dwayne Stewart and Flemmings.
For Moore Town, victory could depend on the performances of top
batsman Marco Pierce, who scored an atractive 76 in the East Zone
final, and bowlers Kevin Francis, Hughroy Clarke, Delroy Patterson and
Marvin McGregor.
Tarrant's batting will be centred around Michael Jackson, Omar Reynold
and Antonico Scott, while their bowling will be led by Reynolds, Kevin
Thompson, Steve Logan, Ricardo Blake, Jackson and Scott.
For Runaway Bay, the players to watch are top batsman Jermaine Meikle
and bowlers Gregory Young, Delroy Henry and Damion Watkis.
