James Averis announces engagement

James Averis won the club's Player of the Year award in 2001, but 2002 has already proved likely to surpass even that as he is now engaged to be married to his long-term girlfriend, Anna Jago.

The couple are hoping to exchange vows in December and are said to be absolutely ecstatic.

Everyone at Gloucestershire CCC offers congratulations, while hoping that this will not adversely affect James's form on the field in 2002! It should be a year to remember.
