Kosala Kulasekara and Upul Tharanga dazzles in UK

The recipients of this year Sir Paul Getty Cricket Scholarships to UK. Kosala Kulasekara and Upul Tharanga have both acclamatised well

Cricketing wise Kosala has had a dream start for his club Stanmore Cricket Club in the Middlesex County Legal Premier Division. Scoring 56 not out on his first game against Barnes. 40 runs in the second game against Teddington, and a wonderful 142 runs against Southgate that included 4 sixes and 14 fours.

Upul Tharanga started quietly but not to be outdone got a sensational 123 runs not out for his club Loughton Cricket Club in the Essex County League Premier Division, against last year's championship winners Safron Waldron. Upul hit 6 sixes & 14 fours. He has a wonderful sense of effortless timing and used the pace of the opening bowlers well to demolish the opposition in getting to the 202 for victory in just 27 overs.

They are both determined to do well for themselves and before long represent Sri Lanka Cricket at the national level.
