XXXX Queensland Bulls captain Stuart Law will equal the mark set by
Sam Trimble for the most first class games for Queensland when he
takes to the field on the opening day of the Pura Cup clash against
NSW at the Gabba from Sunday.
Law (132 matches) will equal Trimble's mark of 133 first class games
for Queensland and will become Queensland's most capped player in the
Pura Cup match against Tasmania at the Gabba from December 13-16.
Law is also seven games away from breaking Trimble's record of 123
domestic four day games (Sheffield Shield/Pura Cup) for Queensland.
Meanwhile the Queensland selectors have recalled last year's leading
wicket-taker in the Pura Cup for the XXXX Queensland Bulls top of the
table clash with the NSW Blues at the Gabba starting on Sunday.
Paceman Joe Dawes comes into the Queensland twelve in place of
allrounder James Hopes who made his first class debut against the
Western Warriors earlier this month.
Dawes made his comeback from a knee injury for his club side Valley in
the Brisbane XXXX First Grade premiership last weekend, taking 2-19
off 10 overs.
NSW currently lead the Pura Cup table by two points from the Bulls.
The opening day of the Pura Cup match will be the Pura Milk Dollar
Day, with entry $1 and all patrons eligible for a $1 pie and a $1
coke.
