LAHORE, Sept 26: Test cricketer Aamir Sohail has been retained as captain of Pakistan team for the home series against Australia, starting with first Test in Rawalpindi from Oct 1.

The decision was taken by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) executive council which met here today.

This was stated by the PCB Secretary Waqar Ahmad.

The Pakistan senior team coach Javed Miandad, the "A" side coach Mohsin Hasan Khan and the Under-19 team coach Azhar Khan appeared before the council meeting to give report about the recent tours.
