Karachi, Feb 27: Former captain Wasim Bari on Sunday was appointed
chairman of selectors, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Lt-Gen
Tauqir Zia said on Sunday.
Speaking from Mangla on telephone, the general said former Test
spinner Iqbal Qasim and former seamer Ehteshamuddin will be the
selectors.
Bari was chief selector during the tenure of former PCB chairman
Khalid Mahmood. He was replaced when Mujeeb-ur-Rehman took over as new
PCB chief in June last year.
In 81 Tests, Bari accounted for 228 batsmen behind the wicket while
dismissed 62 batsmen in 51 one-day internationals. Iqbal Qasim played
50 Tests taking 171 wickets while played in five Tests taking 16
wickets.
