Battle of Uva this Friday, Saturday
The annual Golden Battle of Uva between Bandarawela Central and
St.Joseph's College will be played on the Bandarawela Town Council
grounds on June 26 and 27.
Uva Provincial Director of Education W.M.D.B. Wijetunge and Mayor
Nalin Suriyage will be the chief guests at the opening ceremony while
Deputy Minister Samaraweera Weerawanni will grace the awards ceremony
on the final day.
The St.Joseph's team will be captained by third year player
D.G.Susantha Kumara who is a right-arm paceman.
Bandarawela Central captain Upatissa Kumara is also a paceman who
opens the new ball attack for his school.
