Ralhum launch on BDM cricket equipment
Ralhum sports company (Pvt) Ltd of Sri Lanka (RSC) have obtained the
exclusive rights of being the agent for cricket equipment manufactured
by B.D. Mahjan & Sons Pvt Ltd (BDM).
This was revealed to the media at the launch held on Tuesday evening,
at the Grand Orient Hotel by the Managing Director RSC - M.M. Mohamed.
According to Mohamed, the newly formed company (RSC), coming into
being in April this year, is most opportune - taking into account
cricket's popularity, all that's in store for the future and the ever
increasing number of rural schools taking to the game.
The Company (RSC) is pleased that its negotiations with BDM to be
their agent has concluded successfully. BDM, an accepted manufacturer
of cricket equipment in India, had its origin in 1925 with just one
factory and has progressed to possess three factories. It enjoys a
wide reputation with many cricketers the world over, who patronise its
extensive range of cricket equipment.
The objective of the local company here, is not merely to make
available cricket equipment through franchise shops and other
distributors, but to be also associated in other ways in the ongoing
cricket environment.
The intention in this direction, is to sign up two young cricketers to
promote BDM products and thereby also reward them. To provide
schoolboys with suitable material scholarships and the conducting of
coaching clinics in the districts.
The Marketing Consultant of RSC Khaleel - UR-Rahman, said that their
priority was to ensure that cricket equipment was made freely
available at affordable prices to schoolboys of the rural areas.
