Thurstan-Peterite U-15 final today

The unbeaten Thurstan College under-15 cricket team will meet St. Peter's today at Nomads in the finals of the all-island under-15 inter-school cricket tournament conduced by the Sri Lanka Schools' Cricket Association.

Thurstan did well to win all their matches of this tournament and made it to the finals today, beating Piliyandala MMV, Nalanda, D.S. Senanayake, Maristella, De Mazenod, Dharmapala MV and Dharmasoka, Ambalangoda. Thurstan have the added satisfaction in defeating their opponents St. Peter's in an earlier first round match.

St. Peter's have the distinction of being runners-up for the past three years and champions on two earlier occasions. In this year's tournament they beat D. S. Senanayake, Nalanda, Dharmapala MV, Piliyandala MMV, Zahira College, De Mazenod, Maristella and lost to St. Peters.

Perera, Chamal Perera, Azoor Mubarak, Ashrop Afraz, Osuka Maharachchi. The team is coached by T. Samarasinghe of the Master-in-charge is Nihal Fernando.
