Wagh banned from bowling by ECB

The ECB have banned Warwickshire's Mark Wagh from bowling.

Wagh was no-balled for throwing towards the end of the season and the Throwing Panel, meeting this week, have recommended that he should remodel his action before bowling again.

An ECB spokesman announced that: "If Warwickshire CCC and Mark Wagh consider the problem to have been solved during the winter, an ECB throwing panel will be convened before the start of the 2001 season to review the situation."

Fortunately, Wagh is a batsman primarily, but bowls occasional off-spin. He didn't take a wicket last year.
