If you're thinking about having a punt on any of this weekend's Premiership matches, check out the spread betting markets at bethilo. They're offering new clients £25 cash** and a refund on your first losing bet**. Here are our thoughts on all of this weekend's televised games:
Liverpool v Wigan
Liverpool are finally finding some consistency under Benitez. They've won their last 5 Premiership matches, and have only conceded one goal at Anfield this season. Not surprisingly, the Reds go into this one as favourites, with bethilo predicting that they'll beat Wigan by 0.9 to 1.1 goals. Despite recent defeats to Arsenal and Spurs, the visitors are still playing well and should be tough to break down. With Morientes and Crouch still shooting blanks for the home side, a low scoring Liverpool victory could be on the cards.
Man Utd v Portsmouth
United haven't scored more than a single goal in any Premiership game at Old Trafford this season, but that statistic could be banished to the history books on Saturday. The Red Devils were very impressive at West Ham recently, and face far weaker opposition on Saturday. bethilo have priced up United as clear favourites, predicting they'll win by 1.5 to 1.7 goals. Portsmouth were poor at home to Chelsea last weekend and the lack of passion and fight showed by a number of Perrin's signings does not bode well for the rest of the season. With Rooney in form, even Harry `Houdini' Redknapp wouldn't help the visitors escape with a point.
Charlton v Man City
The manner of Charlton's defeat to Blackburn in midweek suggests that all is not well at The Valley. They've lost five games in a row, and with Murphy and Bent out of sorts it's easy to see why. The only positive from recent weeks for the Addicks has been the form of Ambrose. They'll need to make the most of his creativity if Charlton are to have any chance of ending this dismal run. Visitors Man City are also in poor form, having won only once in six matches. Vassell and Cole are struggling for goals, and the defensive errors that were commonplace under Keegan are beginning to return. bethilo think this will be a tight game, predicting that the home side will come out on top by 0.0 to 0.2 goals.
