Although an official announcement of the itinerary is months away,
media outlets in Australia yesterday published dates of Australia's
next Test series, at home to the West Indies.
It will be another seven-and-a-half months before the Australians get
the opportunity to extend their ten-match winning streak - and
break the West Indies 11-match record.
The dates for the five Test series are expected to be: November 24-28
(Brisbane), December 2-6 (Perth), December 15-19 (Adelaide), December
26-30 (Melbourne), January 2-6 (Sydney).
Zimbabwe will have to wait a bit longer for their first Test
appearance on Australian soil as they will be playing only in the
Carlton & United One-Day Series in Australia.
Tickets for the 2000/01 Australian season are not expected to go on
sale until about August.
