Six-Year-old Anthony Alleyne piloted St. Catherine to a quarter-final berth in the Piton Malta, Herman Griffith Primary Schools Cricket Competition with a solid half-century.
Alleyne scored an unbeaten 51 out of St. Catherine's total of 86 as the St. Philip team came up against Erdiston at Dover.
Batting first Erdiston could only manage 82 for 8, as Anthony's brother, Junior Alleyne, took four for 14 and Rico Carter two for 22.
Erdiston's top scorers were Adeico Catwell with 39 and Kevin Bostic 12.
Wesley Hall was the other team booking a place in the quarter-finals as they defeated St. Joseph by51 runs.
They took the wicket first and scored 113 for seven, with Roston Chase getting 35 and Don Gill 31.
St. Joseph could only muster 62 in reply as Narada Sinckler ripped through their batting with figures of five for 92.
The quarter-finals begin today with St. Patricks opposing Charles F. Broomes at Dover.
Tomorrow Ignatius Byer willcome up against West Terrace at Speightstown.
