Road Schools North (71 & 154) lost to YMPC (115-3 dec'd & 112-2) by
eight wickets.
Opener Adrian Jones hit an attractive half-century to steer YMPC to
their first victory of the season, over CHIC Schools North yesterday.
Jones scored a stroke-filled unbeaten 68 as YMPC easily reached a
target of 111 for the lost of just two wickets, completing the victory
in the final half-hour of play with a day to spare.
He sealed the win with an off-driven boundary off a full-toss from
spinner Romell Small. He hammered 13 threes and three fours.
YMPC took an early grip on the match on the first day as they bowled
out the schoolboys for 71 and declared their first innings on 115 for
three, a lead of 44.
Yesterday, they set up the victory as Fidel Edwards and Michael Bowen,
with three wickets each, restricted the opposition to 154 in their
second innings.
A responsible 57 from Jason Crawford and 37 from Dion Broomes provided
the only genuine resistance from the schoolboys.
