Former England skipper Tony Greig and legendary West Indian fast
bowler Michael Holding will be arriving today as part of WorldTel's
commentary team for the Wills International Cup.
The American-based television company's team comprises six
commentators. They are: Former Indian captain Ravi Shastri, Former
South African batting great Barry Richards, former New Zealand
captain Martin Crowe and former England captain Geoffrey Boycott.
Meanwhile seven members of WorldTel's production crew arrived here.
Another thirteen of the 60-member team is expected today.
Cup on its way
The glittering Wills International Cup will be reach the capital
today.
The cup designed by Jaipur-based jeweller Arun Pabuwal, is going to
be formally unveiled the day before the tournament gets underway.
Nearly 22 inches in height and about six kilogrammes in weight, the
trophy has been crafted in gold and silver and depicts how cricket
integrates nations.
The trophy looks complete from all sides and bears the flags of the
nine-competing nations.
Earlier, on Sunday, the 1983 World Cup winning Indian captain Kapil
Dev handed over the trophy to Atiqur Rahman, the Press Minister at
Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi.
Deputy Hick
Graeme Hick has been named vice-captain of England one-day team.
England team media manager Brian Murgatroyd said that English cricket
Board on Monday made an announcement to appoint Hick as Adam
Hollioake deputy.
