Axar seals it for India. Darted in at 109.4kph. Karunaratne can only drag it towards deep midwicket. Madushanka looks to come back for the second, almost halfheartedly, and Kishan breaks the stumps to run him out
That's all from our side for this game. We will back again on Thursday as the caravan moves to Pune, with India 1-0 ahead in the three match series. See you then.
Hardik Pandya: [on being addressed as India captain] Now I have got used to it. It was just cramps, I am alright. it was a rough night, I was unwell and I had my fluids down. If I am smiling, everything is fine. [On Axar bowling the final over] We might lose a game here and there but it's alright. It's the young guys who got us back into the game. I have seen him [Shivam Mavi] bowling well in the IPL and I just told him to simply bowl. I told him, 'I am backing you. Even if you get hit, it's fine.' If the same situation is there, I will take the new ball. I have been bowling in the nets with the new ball since I returned in the IPL. I have learnt how to swing it back.
Deepak Hooda is the Player of the Match: I try to practise for every position and try to give my best at every position. We knew if get the momentum on our side, we will reach 160. I recently played domestic cricket, so I am aware of the game situation even though I don't practise range hitting.
Dasun Shanaka: Really disappointed with the way we finished, it was a game we should have won. At Wankhede, the batters need to cross the line easily when you are chasing 163. We used the match-ups well to restrict India. This bunch of youngsters is a very good bunch of players, they will come back strongly.
Time for the presentation ceremony.
Sri: "Great game for Mavi and Kishan. Kishan's saves behind the wicket proved to be crucial given the slender win margin."
Shivam Mavi: I was waiting for this moment for the last six years. Had injuries in between and it felt my dream will never come true. Nerves were 3-4 on a scale of ten because you know what to expect when you have played the IPL. The first wicket was my favourite.
10.40pm What a game we have had. At the halfway stage it looked like India were well under par but they started well with the ball, restricting Sri Lanka to 35 for 2 in the powerplay. Dasun Shanaka revived the chase in the company of Hasaranga and Karunaratne. He fells in the 17th over but Karunaratne kept fighting, taking it to the final ball but Axar sealed it for India in the end.

A free hit
a high full toss from outside off, wide of the crease. Slogs it towards wide long-on. Karunaratne dives back to complete the second run. And it's called a no-ball for height. A bit harsh on the bowler as it was dipping and Karunaratne was well outside his crease
