Top-edged, and Thompson does well to get around and make a tricky chance look simple. 66/1 40b to JL Smith, picks out deep midwicket! Big moment. Two wickets in the set for Bracewell. Smith wanted to take on the offspinner and got a decent chunk of this, dragging him into the leg side. Du Plooy was across his stumps, looking to drag Wood over the short leg-side boundary, but got more elevation than distance. Dawson walked to his left at mid-on but Overton at midwicket called for it early, and the ball landed safely in his huge mitts. 16/2 | ||||||||||

Width outside off to start, Vince clears the front leg and drags it straight to Williamson for a simple catch. 5/1 70b to HWR Cartwright, Wood does brilliantly at wide long-off! Width outside off, Cartwright looked to crunch it over the off side but didn't get all of it. Wood made a tough chance look simple, racing around to his left to make the ground up early and taking it low to his left. 111/5 79b to LJ Evans, steps outside leg stump, heaves down the ground, but picks out Overton at long-on! Game, set and match. Gleeson followed Evans as he backed away with a hard-length ball. He got a good piece of it, but couldn't clear the tallest man on the pitch. 129/7 | ||||||||||
