We have a few records here. The eight half-centuries is a world record for most fifties in a match and Pakistan's five is a record for a single innings.

The match was lost after Sibanda's dismissal and the passage of play that followed - with the spinners bowling in tandem - was pointless at best. Zimbabwe made no effort to gain some confidence and push the score past the psychological target of 250, at least. It was quite farcical seeing the part-timers rush through their overs, when the seamers still had eight left.

For Pakistan's debutants, Nasir Jamshed had a good game, though he will need to temper his aggression against tougher opponents. Samiullah Khan Niazi wasn't sensational, but will be pleased with the fact that the captain allowed him his full quota of overs.

Jamshed has another reason to smile tonight because he's the Man of the Match as well.

That's it from us today. Do join us for the second one-dayer in Hyderabad on January 24. It's a day game so please note the start timings - 9.15 local time (4.15 GMT).

This is Kanishkaa signing off. Cheers!
