1 day cricket comes to Tangier
A one-day international could be staged in Tangier, Morocco as soon as late 2000, due to the
imminent construction of a 10,000 seat purpose built cricket stadium.
The father of cricket in the United Arab Emirates, Abdulrahnab Bukhatir, is said to be behind the
project, which is reportedly part of a $US30,000,000 sporting complex.
Meanwhile, the Moroccan Cricket Club suffered a loss in its last outing, falling by four wickets to
the visiting HMSIP Somerset.
Morocco was skittled for 75 all-out before Somerset reached 77-6.
Bahamou Mohemad, Amine Mejjati, Abbasi Younes and Hamid Akylla were Morocco's best.
