Applications are invited for the position of National Coach of the Argentine Cricket Association, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the training, preparation and participation of the Argentine National Squad for the World Cup Qualifying Series (Group 3) Tournament, scheduled to be held in August, 2003.
This candidate will also play a role in the training and preparation of the Argentina U19 Squad for the Americas U19 Championships (U19 World Cup Qualifying Tournament), scheduled to be held in July, 2003.
Further, the successful candidate would work with select groups and individuals of all ages within the category of Elite Player Development, as well as general involvement in the Argentine Cricket Association Development Program.
The appointee should fulfil the following criteria:
An authorised and approved coaching qualification Experience and aptitude in coaching representative teams / squads Experience and aptitude in coaching junior players in a developmental environment Good leadership and management skills Desire, energy and character to work within a challenging developmental environment
The package would include the following:
Negotiable salary or fee Accommodation Travelling expenses Return airfare from chosen point of departure
The relevant timeframe is flexible, and will depend on the final composition of the full package, but ideally will begin in April / May, 2003, and will run until the completion of the World Cup Qualifying Series (Group 3) Tournament, currently scheduled for August, 2003.
Based on performance, availability and mutual agreement, there may also be an option for an extension of the contract as National Coach.
