Rahamatullah Model High School, Ahmed Bawani School and Wari High
School reached group finals winning their respective matches of
the 16th national schools cricket championship yesterday, reports
UNB.
Rahamatullah Model High School outplayed Mohammadpur High School
by 8 wickets at the Dhanmondi Club ground.
Batting first, Mohammadpur High School were bundled out for a
paltry 70 in 20.4 overs. In reply, Rahamatullah scored 73 in just
10.4 overs losing only two wickets. Ramzan contributed highest 35
runs for the winners.
At the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium, Ahmed Bawani School defeated
Banani Model School by 3 wickets.
Banani Model School made 176 runs losing 9 wickets in the
stipulated 35 overs. In reply, Ahmed Bawani scored 180 for 7
wickets in 31.5 overs with Sawkat hammering 55 runs.
Wari High School outplayed Sunnydale School by a huge margin of
131 runs at City Club ground.
Wari High School piled up a massive 291 runs in 35 overs. Sentu
struck 72 runs for Wari. In reply, Sunnydale was all out for 160
in 30.1 overs.
In the day's other engagement, Nazrul Sikhyaloy and BCSIR School
won their respective matches and reached group semifinals.
