The way England's batsmen collapsed on the final day of the second Test in Adelaide does not exactly bode well for the remaining three matches.
However, it is all relative and those of you who followed the advice to side with Kevin Pietersen and Paul Collingwood in the top batting markets should be even happier with yourselves than you were after Brisbane.
Collingwood, who tops the list with an already impressive 329 thanks in no small part to his brilliant 206 in Adelaide, is now the even money (2.00) favourite to stay on top for the rest of the series.
Pietersen, whose 158 in the first innings in Adelaide took his overall tally to 268, is the second favourite at 11/8 (2.37).
Anyone else wanting to get in the mix will need a big innings or two along the way but Ian Bell, who acquitted himself well in both Tests, is 11/2 (6.50) to come through. Andrew Strauss, who has struggled so far, is 14/1 (15.00) while Alastair Cook and Andrew Flintoff, both of whom need a good knock sooner rather than later, are 20/1 (21.00) and 33/1 (34.00).
