CricInfo named top sports site in The Net Awards 2000

CricInfo was voted top sports site by "The Net" magazine in their 2000 Awards for "the very best of the world wide web". Other winners in twelve categories included Amazon, BBC News Online and Lastminute.com.

It follows another record breaking month for CricInfo, which delivered 87 million page impressions during January. "The Net" had this to say:

"Whether the sound of willow on leather dominates your life or is an irritation, you can only stand back and admire CricInfo, a site so comprehensive it renders every other site an irrelevance.
