Tanzania has named a 15-member squad for next month's Africa Cricket Association Cup to be held in Nairobi, Kenya.

Dar Es Salaam players dominate the squad, with 13 from the national capital, and one each from Arusha and Tanga.

Players are presently in training under coach, Kutbuddin Dossajee.

The concentration of DES players in the squad resulted from wins by two DES teams in Tanzania's regional championship held in Tanga earlier this month.

Arusha finished as runner-up.

Meanwhile, on the club scene, the Tanzania Cricket Association organized a 30 overs limited tournament held in November. It was to be completed by the month of Ramadhani (Dec 7 to January 7) when no activities can take place.

Upanga took out the 10 team event, while Aga Khan S.C. (second), Annadil Burhani (third) and Dar Brotherhood (fourth) also took honours.

These clubs qualified for a top-four round-robin after emerging as the top two teams in their five team groups.

Other clubs to compete in the event were Union S.C., Union Friends S.C., Shahab S.C., Ekta S.C, Dar Gymkhana, and Swamibapa.
