Disciplinary hearings for Herschelle Gibbs, Henry Williams and Pieter Strydom will be held on Saturday, August 19, the United Cricket board confirmed on Friday.
The hearings arise out of evidence led to the King commission of inquiry in June and the three cricketers will face a three-man panel consisting of former Judge Mervyn King, Michael Kuper, SC, and the President of the Black Lawyers Association, Jake Moloi.
According to the UCB,it was not felt prudent to convene a disciplinary committee until Justice Edwin King presented his interim report to the government on Friday.
However, when Judge King handed over his report he indicated that disciplinary hearings should go ahead based on evidence already heard.
The disciplinary committee will meet with the General Council of the UCB on August 27 and the findings will be made public on August 28.
